Usually in hierarchical or process oriented organizations employees are measured and acknowledged by how they play their clearly defined job role.
In people centric organizations employees are valued in a more holistic approach.
Most people have a broad portfolio of skills and qualities, often more than what is requested for the job. Beyond the job description there might be other strength, ambitions, ideas and sources of energy which we could additionally address and use to further advance our company. Provided we really focus on people and do not limit them to only fulfillment of tasks as defined by a higher authority. And provided we really care about people and offer them the organizational flexibility to make use of all their talent. But that requires the right culture in place and traditional leaders to go beyond their comfort zone. That‘s why people centric organizations are still a (growing) minority.
