Be aware of using key performance indicators. You will get what you have asked for. If you ask for revenue, you will get revenue growth. If you ask for profitability, you will get profitability increase. If you ask for efficiency, you will get more of the same.


At any cost.


In the short run this might look like a viable approach. But I have seen quite some corporations where in the long run such an approach had devastating effects.


Have you ever experienced a corporate culture which is asking for personal growth?


Although hard to measure it should be the ultimate goal of every leader to help his/her employees grow.


There is no better leverage for your business. It‘s the best investment you can make. And also the most rewarding. Growth in revenue, profitability and efficiency will then come automatically, as a by-product.
